About The Event

Up to four volunteers needed to help create hardened campsites, finish the trail to outhouse, close excess trails, and remove a number of downed trees by crosscut saw. The work requires good physical condition and an interest in learning basic trail/campsite maintenance techniques. Volunteers will use hand tools and natural materials such as logs and beach gravel to create durable camping surfaces, restore vegetation, and prevent erosion. Crosscut saws will be used to remove trees toppled during a 2018 wind event.

  • Roundtrip transportation will be provided by Forest Service vessel for volunteers (must be 18 years or older to ride on the vessel and must provide proof of a Covid-19 Vaccination record card or results of a negative Covid-19 test within 72 hrs of mission).
