About The Event
Up to four volunteers are needed to spend a few hours per day pulling invasive dandelions from beaches in Hobo Bay, on the west shore of Port Wells from July 26-28.
- Roundtrip transportation will be provided by water taxi for volunteers. We invite volunteers of all ages.
- Food and camping gear are not provided.
- Tools and instructions for weed removal are provided.
- A $75 non-refundable registration fee per person is required to reserve your spot.
- You are welcome to bring one kayak per person aboard the water taxi. Water is accessible at the head of Hobo Bay with a kayak; otherwise, pack in your own water.
Trip difficulty: Easy - walking on gentle slopes, pebbled beach, and grassy areas; less than a quarter mile walk from drop off to camp site; typical gardening movements of bending, squatting, and using hand tools to pull weeds.
Volunteers are welcome to arrive by their own vessel. If doing so, please email info@princewilliamsound.org. This registration includes water taxi transportation.
